Approval of Previous Minutes

The minutes for the March business meeting were distributed and were approved at the meeting. Carlin will send an email to Glenn to post minutes on the website

Treasury Update:

Edward Guerra confirmed that there is $1000 in the interest-bearing account and $1290 in the checking.

We are breaking even on month-to-month costs and there are no cash flow issues.

There is one pending cost for the website cost but nothing else. Edward Guerra will confirm with Glenn Boylan.

Bookcase Update:

Liz Pupillo presented 4 options available from Wayfair and unity was reached on the black bookcase.

Religious Education Update:

Jan Westbury asked the group to consider leading religious education. Education dates are the first and third Sunday of the month. Text Jan Westbury at (470) 417-2848 if interested in presenting a discussion topic.

Curt Thompson spoke with Five Freedom, and Andrew Lewis is willing to come to speak to our group about First Five Freedom. Jan will coordinate with Erin to determine a good date to invite him.

Movie Night and Social Activities:

There were six in attendance for the April movie night presentation of Orlando. It was a good evening of fellowship, food and movie discussion.

There was discussion on potentially suspending movie nights during the summer since nights are light longer and the room is too light for optimal viewing. This will be discussed further.

May 9th was proposed for the next movie night, and consensus was reached to instead attend a play at Lionheart Theater to support Scott King who has a role in the play. Members will purchase their own tickets.

New Business:

There was discussion of contributing on a recurring or one time basis to a Quaker organization. FWCC or FCNL were mentioned, there will be further discussion. Pete Oppenheimer will bring an FCNL donor sheet.

There was discussion on becoming a 501C. We can donate without being a 501C and we may be too small a group for this currently.

Next Business Meeting:

The next business meeting is scheduled for May 10th.

The meeting adjourned with a moment of silence at 10:50.
