The meeting for business for Peachtree Friends Meeting was convened on December 15, 2025 at 10:15am.
An opening silence was observed.
Approval of November Minutes:
Minutes from November meeting are approved.
Treasury Update
Edward reported that access to the account is complete.
The donation to the church that was approved in the November business meeting is pending, the church does not use Zelle. Once the bank card arrives the donation will go forward.
There are no cash flow issues, cash reserves fine for rent and expenses.
Religious Education Update
Jan reported on upcoming education dates: Carlin scheduled for December 21, Glen scheduled for first Sunday, Nan scheduled for January 18
AFSC Actions
Ed had the lead on the but was not present, will hold his update for January meeting.
Erin was able to provide some update – she attended the meeting for worship at ICE, for the quiet witness December 6.
Sign In and Info for Guests
Curt does have the guest book, Scott has provided info, we have a table designated for both during our worship service.
Movie Night
December movie night occurred with 1951 Scrooge and The Grinch animated film.
January movie night date January 10, Edward will send film choices for group consensus.
New Items
Erin provided information on First Five Freedoms interfaith/civic organization. Erin will follow up with Glenn to distribute the information to anyone not in attendance December 14.
The organization was formed to address encroachment of freedoms concerns.
There will be a press conference 1/12, 9am and discussion was will anyone attend, what it means to sign on to the statement of values, initiatives.
Agenda Item for Next Business Meeting
There was discussion of future consideration for Donation to Friends Journal, will address in January meeting. Erin will verify that the updated Peachtree Friends address for the worship meeting and email has been completed.
There was discussion on future donation to FWCC. Discussion ongoing.
There was discussion of a bookshelf. Agreement that Curt will speak with the church to discuss open questions since we lease the multi-use space: can a bookcase be onsite, how to store if it cannot be placed in a fixed space. Friends will then need to discuss how to secure, who will be responsible for set up take down, will there be a sign out process. Additional questions may arise from Curt’s meeting with the church.
