The meeting for business for Peachtree Friends Meeting was convened on July 12, 2026 at 10:10 am.
An opening silence was observed.
Approval of Previous Minutes
The minutes for the June business meeting were reviewed and approved at the meeting.
Treasury Update:
Edward Guerra confirmed that there is $1001 in the interest-bearing account and $1033 in the checking. We are breaking even on month-to-month costs and there are no cash flow issues. There are no outstanding liabilities.
Curt Thompson paid for the annual registration dues and will consider this a contribution, does not need reimbursement.
Edward Guerra restocked the coffee and will be reimbursed $60, approved at the meeting.
Religious Education Update:
Jan Westbury mentioned that there are open dates for education for Third Sunday beginning July 19. Contact Jan Westbury to schedule a date.
Glenn Boylan continues with First Sunday education discussion.
Jan Westbury contacted Nico Black with the information that the bookcase is available to house the translation in process.
Movie Night and Social Activities:
The July 9th outing to the Shakespeare Tavern for A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream was enjoyed by several Members.
Movie night at the meeting space is postponed for the summer, we will revisit restarting in September.
Open to suggestions for an August social event, send suggestions to Edward Guerra and he will contact the group.
Five Freedoms Organization support:
Erin Shroder is going to participate with Five Freedoms as a personal choice and as a representative for the Friends meeting. She is taking the training and welcomes anyone joining her. Liz Pupillo and Beth Muller expressed interest in joining Erin and supporting her and Friends also.This will be an item for update in future monthly business meetings.
New Business:
Austin Wattles, a Friend, recently passed away and the memorial service will be July 25th if anyone would like to attend. Also contact Marynn Downey if you can provide finger foods for the memorial.
Beth Muller, Liz Pupillo and Erin Schoder participated in a Love in Action silent witness rally through AFSC at Freedom Park in Atlanta. The primary leader Derrick Otis is moving, and Jacob Flowers is involved but busy and is looking for someone to Lead Love in Action in the future if anyone is led to lead this. There will need to be continued discussion on what is involved, a new location potentially, needed permits and perhaps other info.
Sarah Zimmerman brought a copy of the Quran to add to the bookshelf.

The next business meeting is scheduled for August 9th.
