March 2026 Meeting for Business Minutes

The meeting for business for Peachtree Friends Meeting was convened on March 8, 2026 at 10:07 am. 

An opening silence was observed.

Approval of February Minutes

The minutes for the February business meeting were distributed and were approved at the meeting. Carlin will send an email to Glenn to post minutes on the website

Treasury Update:

Edward (Guerra) confirmed that there is $1000 in the interest-bearing account and $975 in the checking. There are no cash flow issues.

Bookcase Update:

Liz (Pupillo) has found some on Facebook marketplace, but other people got to them first. She does need a truck for any found on FB and Curt (Thompson) said his son may be able to help as he has a pickup.

We discussed Wayfair or Ikea as options for delivery. There may be assembly needed.

Religious Education Update:

We have open dates, starting next week, for third Sunday-of-the month discussion leading. Text Jan (Westbury) at (470) 417-2848 if interested in presenting a discussion topic.

Curt spoke with Five Freedom, and they are willing to come to speak to our group about Five Freedom. Curt will invite them, maybe for a religious education date.

Movie Night and Social Activities

April 11 is the next movie night. Please respond in writing to Edward if you will be attending or not. He can then make the decision to cancel or not. Spring/summer is a busy time for everyone. Edward chooses the movie, brings the equipment and we might need to cancel a night.

March movie night was attended by three people.

There was a discussion about other social activities – North Georgia wine tasting, potluck after meetings, other ideas welcome.

We miss Glenn and hope he is healing and will be back soon. Ed (Weis) will get a card for the group to send.

New Business:

Discussion of Peachtree delegation for protests. Ed and Erin (Schroder) will keep us informed of opportunities in the area and Atlanta and people can make the decision to join.

Next Business Meeting:

The next business meeting is scheduled for April 12th.
