Call to Order
The meeting for business for Peachtree Friends Meeing was facilitated by Curt Thompson acting as Clerk, Glenn Boylan acting as Assistant Clerk and Recording Clerk for this meeting.
Curt called to the meeting to order at 10am on September 14, 2025 at the Activity Center at Christ Church Episcopl in Norcross.
An opening silence was observed.
Attendance
Fourteen people attended the meeting. No roll call was conducted.
Approval of Minutes
No changes or corrections were requested on the minutes of the August meeting for business. The minutes were thus approved.
Treasury Review
Edward reported that the meeting is financially in good shape. We have approximately six months of reserve funds and add to the reserve each month.
A discussion followed about possible uses for some of the extra funds.
Curt will check into the cost to join FWCC and/or subscribing to Friends Journal
Curt will also check with Christ Church to see if we can bring in a bookshelf to start a library that may include books, periodicals, pamphlets and other literature about Quakerism.
Scott will check on the availability and cost of pamphlets being published by Quakers.
Ed will check into contributions to AFSC to see what the contributions would go towards.
Religious Education
Jan reviewed the upcoming religious education sessions to be held during the 10 am fellowship gatherings.
Next week, 9/21, Scott will be presenting the biblical scriptures that form the basis for Quakerism. It will include discussion of Barclay’s Apology.
On 10/5 Glenn will lead a discussion of advices and queries about the peace testimony.
On 10/26 Beth will present Quakers 101, an introduction to Quakerism

Movie Night
The date for the next movie night is Saturday, October 11th. Edward will manage communications to select a movie and remind Members and Friends of the Meeting of the event.
New Items
The meeting discussed the possibility of making a donation to Christ Church Episcopal for a special project or cause that they support. Curt will check with the church about the possibilities.
Next Meeting for Business
The next Meeting for Business will be held on October 12th at 10 am. Please share items for next meeting’s agenda to Curt or Glenn or send it to the PFM email address.
